Bangalore, July 25th, 2014The first day of the debut season ofthe fashion extravaganza –Kingfisher Ultra Style Week Bangalore,in collaboration with Storm Fashion Company enthralled the city’s fashionistastoday at Le Meridien.An unparalleled benchmark of diverse, creative and exquisite designs, the ramp sizzled as renowned designers Manoviraj Khosla, MonaPali, and SarwariAnam& Pooja Raju featured their elegant& elite collections. The fashion spectacular delivered its promise of mesmerizing Bangalore’s fashion aficionados with an enchanting display of a wide range of vivacious colours, cuts and textures.
In the recent wake of violence against women, the renowneddesigner duo from Kolkata, MonaPaliopened the show with their collection “SWARAN KAMAL” which urged the audiences to be more sensitive towards women. Inspired from the flower Lotus which pervades all three realms- earth, water and sky, this collection was high on surface texturization with hand paint, in bright and vivid colours, which speaks of designer’s brand signature. The very beautiful RaaiLaxmi looked a million bucks as she sashayed the ramp with her grace and elegance.
The next designer who caught the attention of the crowd were SarwariAnam and Pooja Raju who showcased their indo-western collection. When it comes to making an impact, less is more and that’s what the collection emphasized. Bright colours, generous use of malmal, silks and nets gave the outfits a contemporary and glamorous Indian look. Minimalist, chic with almost no accessories the collection effortlessly stole the show. Walking the ramp for them was gorgeous actor Erica Fernandes.
The grand finale sawManoviraj Khosla showcase hisexquisite collection ‘Life’and wrapped up the first day ofKingfisher Ultra Style Week Bangalorethrough an avant-gardeshow. The iconic designer dazzled the ramp with amagnificent interplay of sequins and colourssplashed witha liberal dose of metallic gold in lavish fabrics of silk, linen and velvet. Bangalore’s most touted music group, One Nite Stand, serenaded the models and got the audienceto sway to their captivating, foot tapping numbers. Very handsome Sawar Ali and Zulfi Sayedleft the audiences craving for more as they strutted the ramp in style.

Hosted by Kingfisher Ultra, the after party saw the city’s crème-de-la-crème talk fashion, glamour and everything stylish as they looked their scintillating best. Day two of Kingfisher ULTRA Style Week Bangalore witnesses an exciting confluence of Indo-western fashion
Bangalore, July 26th, 2014The second day of the Kingfisher ULTRA Style Week Bangalore kicked off with a phenomenal opening from prominent designer Mumtaz Khan, followed by ace designers Hari Anand and Sanjana Jon at the mesmerizing fashion extravaganza. Bangalore’s fashion aficionados were in for a visual treat as the runway came alive with a colourful display of style, silhouettes, textures and fashion.
The curtains rose with renowned designer Mumtaz Khan showcasing his exotic collection “Bliss” that exemplified his trademark style of infusing vibrant, tribal prints in cotton and eco-friendly fabrics. Opening the show were handsome actors Zulfi Syed & Sawar Ali who took the ramp by storm with their charisma & style. Khan expressed his belief in ‘Purity gives us happiness’ through the show’s first half by presenting pure shades of white and cream in gorgeous georgette & chiffon with bold and intricate gold embellishments. In the second half, unique non-chemical tribal prints in extraordinary weaves of Madhya Pradesh such as Baagh print, Daboo print, Baiga, and tribal khadi stole the show. Renowned actor Aditya walked as the showstopper for the show expressing great panache & poise.
South India’s prominent designer Hari Anand took over the show with his trail blazing aesthetic collection “Alchemy”. Inspired by the process of fabricating gold out of dull elements, the scintillating bridal collection represents the slow infusion of luminous gold into dark tones. With diverse shades of nudes, blues, whites and solid blacks transforming into vivid jeweled gold, the range is an expression of dreams interwoven with reality.
#KFUltraShowStopper, a platform for people to live the experience of a showstopper right from perfect makeup to scintillating designer ensembles, brought two young consumers on to the ramp at Hari Anand’s show. The winners Mahak Brahmawar & Himanshu Ahuja glittered as they sashayed down the ramp radiating an aura of elegance and style.
The grand finale designer Sanjana Jon dedicated her collection to the cause of “Stop violence against women”. The renowned designer was inspired by radiating golden light that represents youth, womanhood and joy. Her collection was a true reflection of gorgeous contours of femininity, buoyancy and fluidity with its delicate interplay of textures and vibrant colours in alluring silhouettes. Sanjana showcased an exquisite amalgamation of western and Indian wear, leaving the crowd yearning for more. A host of celebrated actors & glitterati including Vani Ganapathy, Raai Laxmi, Jayaram Karthik, Dhruv Sharma & more sizzled the ramp with their glamorous presence carrying the underlying message with great élan.

Bangalore, July 27th, 2014The final day of the Kingfisher ULTRA Bangalore Style Week, in collaboration with Storm Fashion Company was a golden evening of glitz, glamour and glitter. The star studded evening at Le Meridien, saw ace designers Poonam Vohra, Agni Mitra Paul, Jattinn Kochhar and Rocky S showcase their scintillating best. It was all about high octane fashion and makeup trends that are sure to excite fashion enthusiasts through the coming season.
Opening the show on a festive note was Poonam Vohra with her exclusive “Utsav” collection. Offering a high-end elegant ethnic line with contemporary cuts and stitches; Poonam worked around a colour palette of luscious gold ochre, vintage mint with neon peach adding zing with a pop of colour. Making an impact on the ramp were the glamorous flowing anarkalis, while vibrant jackets over fitted tunics stole the show as ideal semi-formal evening wear. Actress Tanvi Vyas, the showstopper for Poonam’s show looked breathtaking as she walked the ramp with grace and poise.
Following this, Kolkata based designer Agni Mitra Paul presented her ‘Woman of Substance’ collection inspired by the contemporary independent Indian woman who represents a perfect blend of sensuality, elegance and grace. Former Mrs India Reet Sahu opened the show as she strutted down the ramp looking every bit the perfect woman of substance. The collection included infusions of unique Kantha, Baluchari and Phuliar Dhakai detailing in ethnic jute fabric epitomizing Bengal in every stitch. The showstopper for Agni Mitra’s collection model & actress Parvathy Omanakuttan walked the ramp with great panache & style.
To match the mood of the fabulous evening, Jattinn Kochhar revealed the splendour of his “Bleeding Lust” collection that created a fashion stir in the hearts of all fashionistas. He opted for an ethereal line of western wear comprising evening gowns, jumpsuits, cocktail dresses and sari gowns embellished with gorgeous embroidery. Using natural fabrics, sequin sheeting, brocade, net, jersey, lace and rich synthetics, the range shimmered on the runway as hints of gold appeared to highlight the ensembles. Actress Simran Kaur Mundi epitomized the title ‘Glam Diva’ as she sashayed down the ramp looking like a million bucks.
The grand finale saw Rocky S showcase his ultra-glam “Rocky Star-Resort” collection. Recreating the aura and grandeur of natural beauty in fashion, there was a large dose of lavish opulence in the feminine couture creations. Lace, tulle, leather and velvet were the fabric choice for Rocky S, which were all turned into figure-hugging, contour-gliding, and eye-catching formal wear. Bringing the show to a grand end was renowned Bollywood actress Evelyn Sharma who was a vision of absolute grandeur in Rocky S’s best.
