Karnataka / Kolhapur :The spiritual and social events like Panchabhoot Lokostav not only create awareness about the environment and ecology but also present a document in the form of printed literature that becomes a guiding force for the generations to come, said Thawar Chand Gehlot, Governor of Karnataka on Thursday.
Gehlot participated in the Conference of Governors and Convention of Saints organised as part of Sumangalam Panchamahabhoot Lokotsav being celebrated at Kaneri Math in Kolhapur. The Lokotsav has been organized from February 20 to 26. Ministers from state and union governments, devotees from 25 states, delegates from 50 countries, and thousands of saints and seers are participating in the Lokotsav being celebrated on 650 acres of Math.
Gehlot said that seers, saints,and reformists of Hindustan have been working hard for the conservation of the environment since the ancient era. “The country has been putting its efforts in strengthening the environmental soundness of the country. We have been working towards generating awareness and imparting knowledge to the young generation. The young generation is technology savvy and knows well about the developments in other countries.Their taste has become modern and they expect innovative things,” he said.
